Hahoe is a clan village in a bend of the Nakdong River, still lived in by descendants of the Ryu family verify. Its thatched and tiled houses are UNESCO-listed verify, and several of them take guests.
Two nights here is the slow middle of a trip. You sleep on a yo mattress on an ondol floor, warmed from below, and wake to a courtyard and a river.
